Integral Eye Movement Therapy

What is Integral Eye Movement Technique (IEMT)

Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) is a developing area of rapid therapeutic change work that explores the area of undesired emotions and our ways of being. The process explores the question, “How did we learn to feel the way that we do?” and opens up the possibility of creating the appropriate change in our emotional lives.

We can’t change what has happened in the past, however IEMT may be the tool of change for you to change the emotional connection to it.

Using simple patterns of eye movements IEMT can quickly create change reducing or removing unwanted feelings and emotions to help you resolve issues. The technique is ‘content free’ meaning you do not need to talk about your feelings, emotions or experiences. As long as you are able to feel the emotion, or hold onto a memory, then I may be able to help you!

IEMT is not the grand unified theory of therapy and change work and is still a developing model but has proven to be a very useful adjunctive for the trained therapists and when used in the right hands can provide an excellent remedial tool for emotional change and a generative tool for identity change.

IEMT was developed by Andrew Austin with an original idea from Steve and Connirae Andreas.

Will I have to talk about my past?

No! To be able to offer you IEMT, I need to know very little about your past and the issues that you want to address. When asked about memories or emotions, often, all I simply need is a description or title and a few basic details.

There will be no need to discuss the original trauma in detail as I know this can be very difficult for many and often is what prevents people seeking help.

IEMT is NOT a talking therapy.

How many sessions will I need?

IEMT is designed to achieve change quickly and normally only 2 sessions are required to complete the set of techniques and potentially achieve what you are hoping to.

If a third is required or you have further things you would like to work on, then single sessions are available at a cost of £75 per session. Obviously, everyone is an individual and some people do require more sessions than others.

How much does it cost?

Initially two sessions are booked a week apart and for most clients this will be sufficient to address an issue. The cost of this is £185 which is payable on booking. IF a third session is required, this is available at a cost of £75.

Can IEMT help me when other therapies haven’t?

Obviously I cannot make any guarantees – I wish I could! However, often IEMT can help where other therapies have failed, especially if you find it difficult to discuss your trauma as many people do.

Below is a testimonial from a client who had spent thousands of pounds on various therapies and techniques…….

“I’ve tried many approaches before, EFT, Counselling, NLP, CBT, Hypnotherapy, all of these have failed where IEMT has quickly, simply and effectively made changes in me, changes on a deep level.

I’m steadier, more landed, calmer. Overall less anxious. General feeling of acceptance of everyday challenges as well as the tougher difficulties, which would have thrown me before IEMT.

No longer needing to collapse and retreat when life gets tricky.

Generally, feel the cup is no longer about to spill over, there is more space to be the best version of me when dealing with any stress. I’m able to come from a better place, more reasoned, more balanced. I have more energy, the ability to listen and relate. I’m calmer, clearer, finally, I feel I’m approaching life from a confident, stable place.”
